Art Work in the Art Collection of the Town Gera, Germany

These four paintings are a gift from the Swiss artist Erika Streit for the municipal art collection of the town of Gera in Germany. Originally, these were a gift from Haller for Erika Streit, with whom he enjoyed a close friendship. Painting “1” shows the inscript “for Erika Streit” on the top right. The canvas of that painting is nailed onto ply wood. All paintings are most definitely from the era between 1941 and 1943, before Erika Streit relocated from Czechia to Switzerland.
