According to Ludwig Haller, he was am member of the Association of German Artists (Deutscher Kunstlerbund) in 1933 . As a young student of merely 25 years of age he received from the Association the prestigious invitation to exhibit next to well known painters and sculptors of the time, such as Liebermann, Slevogt, Albiker, Hofer, Klee and others. This invitation was repeated three times.
